This sequence of courses is carefully planned to maximize the integration of General Education courses with nursing courses. Some students elect to take all or most of the General Education courses before starting the Nurse Education Program, thus lessening the course load during the two-year sequence of courses. This option is highly recommended for students who plan to be employed during the course of their studies. However, once admitted to the Nurse Education Program, all courses required in each semester must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher prior to, or concurrently within, the designated semester.

Note: New Jersey Board of Nursing requires all licensure applicants to complete a criminal history background check prior to licensure as a registered professional nurse. Information is provided to graduates by the Board of Nursing upon application to take NCLEX.

This two-year Associate in Applied Science degree program is a member of the National League for Nursing.
