Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS 7)

The TEAS is offered in the Testing Center frequently throughout the year. The test must be taken in-person, either at PCCC or another school. Scores from an online TEAS will not be accepted. Register for the TEAS at www.atitesting.com. Available test dates for PCCC are posted each month.

NOTE: May be taken only once in a semester, Fall, Spring, or Summer (June through August). Students are advised to make an appointment with the Dean of Nurse Education and Sciences if unable to achieve passing score after 2 attempts. A passing score on the TEAS is a minimum of 50% correct (Adjusted Individual Score) in each of the subject areas: Math, Reading, and English.

A passing score is required but does not guarantee acceptance into the program. The points earned on the TEAS are combined with points earned for the GPA, and applicants are admitted in rank order of their point score. Points are assigned for each subject section score and then averaged for a total point score.

Students applying to the program while in their senior year of high school must take the TEAS exam, submit an application by the March 1 deadline, and make an appointment to meet with the Dean by April 1. These students will be considered for admission on an individual basis and are not subject to these admission criteria.
