Graduation Pinning & Awards Ceremony

Each year the graduating students of the nursing department are recognized in a traditional pinning ceremony where they are attired in full nursing uniform and receive a lapel pin symbolizing the dignity and meaning of their profession.

The first pinning ceremony for the Passaic County Community College Nurse Education program was held June 21, 1975. Since then, more than 1,000 men and women have been honored at this yearly event which now also includes presentation of special nursing Awards.
