3+1 Programs

Students are able to remain at PCCC while taking the third year of Ramapo’s bachelor’s degree curriculum. Upon successful completion of the third year, students will take the remaining fourth-year curriculum on the Ramapo College campus.

2+2 Program

PCCC graduates who earned an Associate in Science (AS) in Human Services Degree, can transition to Ramapo’s Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) degree program and remain on the PCCC campus while taking the courses required for the third and fourth years of Ramapo’s BSW curriculum.

How it works

Once you complete your degree at PCCC:

Take the third year of Ramapo’s bachelor curriculum at PCCC

Take the fourth year at Ramapo

Successfully complete all requirements and earn your bachelor’s degree

How do I apply?

3+1 applicants should complete the Inquiry Form. PCCC graduates can apply now. Current students who are working towards their degree, should apply after speaking with a program representative.

Can I transfer to Ramapo without going through the 3+1?

Yes, students can transfer at any time.

When do I take Ramapo courses?

Once you complete your AA or AS degree and are accepted to the program, you can start taking classes for the BA on a PCCC campus. Some courses are existing PCCC courses and some are newly created courses developed with Ramapo faculty specifically for this program.

Can I get financial aid?

Both PCCC and Ramapo offer state and federal financial aid to students accepted to the degree program and who qualify according to state and federal aid requirements.  Prerequisites may not be covered by financial aid. The PCCC Alumni Waiver program does not include Ramapo@PCCC programs or prerequistes to the program.

Who is eligible?

Graduates of PCCC’s AA-Liberal Arts: Psychology are eligible for Ramapo’s BA Degree in Psychology
Graduates of PCCC’s AA- Liberal Arts: Criminal Justice are eligible for Ramapo’s BA Degree in Social Science
Graduates of PCCC’s AA Liberal Arts: Humanities are eligible for Ramapo’s BA Degree in Humanities & Global Studies
Graduates of PCCC’s AS Business Administration are eligible for Ramapo’s BA Degree in Humanities & Global Studies
Graduates of PCCC’s AS Criminal Justice are eligible for Ramapo’s BA Degree in Social Science

*Graduates of other A.A., A.S.and A.A.S. programs should inquire about their eligibility.

2+2 Program

For Graduates of a PCCC Human Services Degree Program

Once you complete your degree at PCCC:

Take both the third and fourth years of Ramapo’s BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) degree curriculum at a PCCC campus

Remain in the familiar PCCC environment with PCCC support services

Pay special Ramapo@PCCC tuition rate

How do I apply?

2+2 applicants will apply at apply.ramapo.edu/apply. PCCC graduates with the AS in Human Services Degree can apply now. Current students who are working towards this degree should apply after speaking with a program representative.

Who is eligible?

To be considered for admission into the BSW program you will be required to complete your A.S. in Human Services at PCCC with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and a combined grade average of B in HS 101 and HS 222. In addition, you must complete the following prerequisite courses prior to entering into the program:
SO 101 Intro to Sociology
SO 105  Social Problems
PS 101 Intro to Psychology
HS 101 Intro to Human Services
HS 222 History & Philosophy of Social Welfare
